2019-2020 Achiever Medallion Information
The Bloomington Achiever Medallion provides our students with an opportunity to show off their creativity, dedication to their schoolwork, and talents in a variety of ways. All students are invited to work on the medallion requirements throughout the year.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic and school being dismissed, we have cancelled several of our end of year events. However, we would still like to recognize the efforts of students that are working on the Bloomington Medallion. The following information details our efforts to help students complete these requirements.
Bloomington Achiever Medallions will be given to students that have worked throughout each trimester to complete the medallion requirements as noted on the Medallion Checklists.
Medallion checklists are due on or before Friday, April 24, 2020. Late entries will not be accepted. Please scan and email your child’s completed checklist to their homeroom teacher. They will verify that the requirements have been met within the appropriate time frames and will then submit them to the office.
We are still requiring that students complete 15 or more elements with one of those being either the PTA Reflections Contest or the Science Fair. Refer to the Science Fair webpage for information.
- If students are completing the Handwriting component, they will need to practice correct letter formations using these charts: Capitals and Lower Case. Take a video of your student writing both uppercase and lowercase letters with the correct letter formations. E-mail your video to Ms. Derrick (firstname.lastname@example.org) for medallion approval.
For questions about specific items on the checklist, please email the teacher indicated on the medallion paperwork.
