Kindergarten

 Mrs. Blake is excited to be here at Bloomington Elementary!  She received her degree in Elementary Education from Dixie State College before spending several years as a stay-at-home mom to her three children. During these years, Mrs. Blake experienced the joy of early childhood firsthand, and she was hooked!  When the district opened a preschool at her neighborhood elementary, she just couldn’t resist returning to work. Now, after two years in preschool, she is living her dream of teaching Kindergarten.

Dr. Bigham is a Hoosier. She was born and raised in Indiana and has lived in Illinois, Ohio, Maine, Arizona, and Utah. She graduated from Purdue University with a doctorate in Language and Literacy from the School of Curriculum and Instruction. She has taught kindergarten, fifth grade, a multi-age elementary class, and college. She has loved teaching each of these age groups. Dr. Bigham is blissfully married with five children and four grandchildren. If she was not a teacher, she would like to operate heavy machinery, be a long-haul trucker, a research librarian, an author, a cellist, and a swim coach.
